Renewing Your Perspective on God, Yourself, and Life

Hey there! Let me share a piece of my journey with you, a journey of transformation and self-love that I believe many women can relate to.

In my early thirties, I was pursuing my college degree while juggling a lot in life. During this time, I began therapy, which changed my life. It revealed something startling: the self-hate and self-neglect I'd been living with for so long. This realization was a game-changer because it had a profound impact not just on me but also on the example I was setting for my four daughters.

The turning point was when I wrote a letter to myself, reflecting on a moment from my teens when I felt my dreams crumble. I had become my own worst enemy, trapped in self-sabotage. It was a painful realization, but it was also the catalyst for change.

As I dug deeper into my self-hate, I discovered how it manifested in my life and the lives of many women. Negative self-talk, low self-esteem, seeking external validation, and neglecting our own needs were all too common. It's a vicious cycle that holds us back from the life we deserve.

But here's the thing: Self-awareness and self-love are powerful healers. As I started to build a relationship with myself, I learned to like the person I saw in the mirror. It took time and effort, but I made progress. I set boundaries, prioritized self-care, and sought to understand my emotional needs. I shifted my perspective from self-destruction to self-empowerment.

The key to unraveling self-hate and self-neglect lies in renewing your perspective on God, yourself, and life. If you see God as a difficult-to-please figure, you'll struggle to value yourself as He does. If your self-worth is tied to external factors, you'll never find inner peace. And if you view life as limiting, it'll feel like a never-ending prison sentence.

Remember, perspective shapes reciprocity. If you're looking through the lens of self-hate and a distorted perspective, you'll never truly experience the reciprocity you desire. It's time to shift your perspective, embrace self-love, and step into the life you deserve.
