#Happy2024 Embracing Spontaneity. You got this!
Hi there! As we welcome 2024, we’re halfway through the first month of twelve. Surely, we’ve hit a little turbulence by now. Last week we talked about embracing imperfection to keep moving forward. Today let’s talk about spontaneity.
The notion of spontaneity initially gave me pause when I started writing this. After a deeper exploration, it became the perfect gateway to discuss the critical need to release our desperate grip on the illusion of control. Let’s embark on this enlightening journey!
What is Spontaneity:
Merriam-Webster defines spontaneity as an internal, self-acting force, developing without apparent external influence. It's about tapping into the deepest parts of oneself, free from external narratives, societal norms, and cultural expectations.
Challenging Societal Misconceptions:
Society often portrays spontaneity as haphazard decision-making, with an absence of proper planning. In reality, it's a personal, internal process, untethered from external expectations. Let’s challenge the stigma attached to independent thinking. It's time to examine the profound effects it has on our lives.
Life Management vs. External Control:
Reflecting on a chaotic chapter over a decade ago in my own life, made me realize that life management is not about just strategically positioning external factors. True empowerment stems from managing internal growth, development, and healing. Taking control often leads to manipulation, very similar to how we used to position our Barbies and dolls.
Surrendering to Divine Guidance:
Embracing chaos requires accepting imperfection and relinquishing the illusion of complete control. Surrender involves letting go of the need to set the stage. It means acknowledging God as the ultimate Orchestrator. It's about understanding who we are trusting and why. We should give up the pursuit of perfection and aim for a divinely curated pursuit of function, fulfillment, and manifestation.
Life Management Strategy:
Life management is not about the strategic positioning of external factors. It's about knowing oneself. Letting go of the need to control everything frees us to focus on self-control. This mindset allows spontaneity to become a positive force. It guides us to make calculated decisions aligned with God's purpose that resonate with our core being.
Embracing Imperfections:
Release the priority of managing chaos and embrace life's imperfections with grace. Recognize that chaos, if present, is a passing season. By adopting an inside-out approach, you attract the results you seek. Embracing spontaneity becomes a journey to surrender, self-discovery, and a life of purpose.
Thinking independently free of societal and cultural expectations is usually the way to go when following God’s will and aligning with your true self. If being considered spontaneous is what we need to be then so be it! Join me, Sister, in embracing this concept and adopting it as a part of our everyday journey forward. Remember, forward only!
