International Women's Day is Near: My Contribution
I'm buzzing with excitement because March is here, and you know what that means? It's time to celebrate International Women's Day! This year, I felt a strong pull towards doing something a bit different. Instead of the usual shout-outs to the iconic women we admire from afar, I've decided to zoom in closer. Much closer.
This past year has been nothing short of amazing, meeting women from all walks of life. I've been building my circle, my "tribe," with incredible women who've brought diverse skills, perspectives, and gifts into my life and business. My goal for 2024? To shine a spotlight on these phenomenal women I'm lucky to know personally and share their magic with you.
This month, I'm teaming up with some passionate women, all leaders in their fields, ready to empower us with their life and career journeys. We're diving into the theme of Universal Women's Empowerment: A Journey from the Inside Out, led by myself, Nikki Cates of Strategic Transformations. It's all about recognizing that empowerment is a universal journey, transcending cultural, social, and personal backgrounds. We're here to show you how transforming our inner selves and our relationship with the Divine can revolutionize every aspect of our lives.
Despite progress, we're still miles away from true equality, equity, and justice for women everywhere. Even in the US, the fight for "firsts" continues, and the struggle is even more pronounced for women of color. There's so much more to be done, and the United Nations is pushing hard with this year's theme of #InspireInclusion to close that gap. You can learn more about this year’s theme at International Women’s Day 2024.
Tapping into my spiritual faith, from the creation of woman, God provided every single thing that we needed to show up in this world as the unique, nurturing, powerful, and strong beings that He intended. Not to be less than man but an equal partner with unique offerings to complement him. The creation of an ultimate and superior synergy that was intended to take dominion over this world. The creation of humanity.
It is not that women are born not knowing the intricate ins and outs of womanhood. It is that knowing that is drowned out by gender roles, societal expectations and definitions, and cultural interpretations that typically belittle the endowment of power that women are meant to bring. Broken women tend to reproduce broken women.
Somewhere along the way, we, women, have lost our authenticity to know and be our true selves in this world. We’ve lost our dependency on the Creator of all resources and power. We’ve distanced ourselves from our fellow women out of fear of rejection. This has resulted in poor mental, spiritual, and physical health, broken, toxic dysfunctional relationships, and confusion and misery because we don’t know our true purposes for taking this journey through life.
This month is all about empowerment from the inside out. We'll tackle overcoming adversity and victimhood with divine guidance and self-awareness. We're reclaiming our health, careers, relationships, and legacies, and I'm thrilled to be doing this with the amazing women around me.
Here's what's coming up:
Week 1: Personal transformation stories about overcoming adversity.
Week 2: Empowerment on a spiritual, mental, and emotional level.
Week 3: Focusing on physical and relational empowerment.
Week 4: Exploring self-leadership and management for empowerment.
We'll wrap up with a Women's Roundtable Panel, where you can engage and gain insights from our contributors about transforming from the inside out.
I'm so excited to embark on this journey with these inspiring women and to create a space for us to empower and support each other. Let's make future generations of women stronger, wiser, and more empowered in a better world than the one we were born into. Together, we can make a difference!
Got ideas for our roundtable discussion? Drop them in the comments! The women I'm collaborating with are eager to share and empower you all. Let's make this happen, together!
Be encouraged, my sisters. Be empowered. Be intentionally happy!
